Any hints for caching? Is it not working properly yet or am I missing something?
I find a lot of cases where Stardust loses its entire ram preview for a change that should only affect a small portion of the render. For example an emitter from a light that has in and out points during shorter than the preview.
Are there any settings or workflows that can improve SD’s ability to cache.
(I love the plugin otherwise!)
Hi, we are doing re-caching so you don’t end up with wrong frames in the final result, please send us an email and we could have a look if its too much in some setups.
It would be really good to have some controls to turn off re-caching when its not necessary, perhaps in the advanced tab or perhaps for each emitter. It’s common for Trapcode’s Particular to show the wrong frames so I understand why Stardust is set up this way, but personally I prefer to purge the cache when needed (which is less than half the time) rather than have it reset every time. I can send you a scene if you’d like.
