BG Renderer not compatible with Stardust?
I’ve been playing around with Stardust for a week now, and I ran into this problem multiple times with different AE projects:
When I use Stardust in one of the comps of my project (even if I’m not trying to render the comp that uses Stardust), I am not able to launch a background render with BG Renderer, I get the message: “Unable to execute script at line 1. Expected: )”
I can’t figure out where the problem comes from, if it’s caused by aerender, BG Renderer, Stardust, or if I’m doing something wrong…
When I open a clean scene, and import my project without the Stardust comps, I can render through BG renderer, but as soon as I use Stardust again, it gives me the same error.
I’m using Stardust 0.9 on Windows 10, aerender 14.2.0×198 and the BG Renderer plug-in 2.12 (last update in 2011!)
I also noticed that Media Encoder doesn’t seem to render properly any comps using Stardust. It looks like the size and transparency information is ignored, and the renders look terrible.
Is that related to the use of the GPU? Is there a work-around for that or an update enabling us to render via Media Encoder?
…or again, am I doing something wrong! 🙂
In any case, thank you guys at Superluminal for creating an amazing product and for liberating us from Particular’s boundaries!!!
It makes me wonder how did we survive without it all this time!!!!! 🙂
Thanks a lot in advance for your help!
Hi Franck,
Stardust should work with Media Encoder and aerender , please send me an email to support@superluminal.tv so we could get more details about the issue, and fix it.
Cheers, Aharon
