Is it possible to load an obj sequence, or any other kind of animated mesh?

You can emit particles from Obj and Obj sequence.
To emit from obj sequence please do the following:
Setup an obj emitter (you can use one of our preset for this)
Choose an obj file.
Turn on the sequence checkbox.

its under – Object Properties / Load Sequence when working with OBJ emitter.
