Material / Light / Shadows

Hi,
Is there a way to have a material not get effected by any lighting, so the material is a flat & constant color? I basically want to have a ground plane receive shadows from particles/models, and i want to composite this comp over a solid color (which is the same color as the ground plane). As of now, the ground plane has gradations due to the lighting, so when stardust is composited over a solid color with the same color value as the ground plane, the ground plane is clearly visible, because its material is influenced by the lighting. I tried the material shadow catcher option, but this option seems to nullify how shadows fade out.
Thanks for any suggestions or advice!
John

Hi, There is a shadow catcher, so you can have the ground material receive shadows only, to compose over any footage.
