Project a texture on a grid of particles

Hello,
I’ve got a grid of rectangle particles which fit my comp size.
Is it possible to “project” an image on it ? I tried field, and material bit nothing works like I want.

Hi, you can project a texture to set the color of particles but there is no ‘projection’ on particles in Stardust, please send us an email for further help. Aharon

This would be a great feature. To have an image sequence project onto a grid of particles, and as the particles flow, they retain the sampled region of the video sequence for their lifetime.
